The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank Takes Part in the Great American Egg Drive and Joins Egg Farmers Across America to Help Donate 6 Million Eggs Nationwide

This egg donation from Rosemary Farm will provide 108,000 eggs to community members.

City of Industry, CA (March 30, 2026) — Rosemary Farm donated 108,000 eggs to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank as part of the Great American Egg Drive, a nationwide effort bringing egg farmers together to support communities ahead of Easter and Passover—and one of the largest egg donation efforts ever.

The donation—equal to approximately 9,000 dozen eggs—will provide fresh, nutritious, high-quality protein to individuals and families across the West. Eggs will be distributed through the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank’s network of partner agencies, including food pantries, community meal programs and shelters.

“Hungry families deserve protein rich, quality eggs regardless of their economic status. said Andrew Rodgers, head of West Coast Regional Sales of Rosemary Farm. We’re proud to be part of the Great American Egg Drive and to help provide to families who need it most.”

The American Egg Board, on behalf of America’s egg farmers, is leading the Great American Egg Drive—bringing farmers together to give back in communities nationwide during a time of year when eggs play an important role in meals and traditions.

This year, the effort is expanded through a partnership with HATCH, a nonprofit organization that connects farms with food banks year-round, helping ensure eggs reach the communities where they’re needed most.

“We are deeply grateful to Rosemary Farm, the American Egg Board, HATCH, and everyone involved in making this generous donation possible," said Michael Flood, President and CEO of the LA Regional Food Bank. This donation of eggs will provide nutritious, high-quality protein to families and individuals across Los Angeles County, helping ensure our neighbors have access to the food they need.”

Eggs are one of the most in-demand foods at food banks because they are nature’s perfect protein. Just one egg provides six grams of high-quality protein and 13 essential nutrients, making it a versatile option families can use in a wide variety of meals.

Millions of Americans, including more than 47 million people—including over 14 million children—live in food-insecure households, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

“Giving back to our community is something we care deeply about as egg farmers,” said Tracy Ramsdell, Marketing Director of Rosemary Farm. “We’re proud to be part of the Great American Egg Drive and to help provide families who need it the most with fresh, nutritious food during the spring holiday season.”
